VI.BE

Rince-Doigt is a young math-rock trio playing atmospheric music based on loops and complex rythms. Active in the alternative Brussels scene, Rince-Doigt shared the stage with bands such as Mutiny On The Bounty, Delta Sleep or Polymath.

In 2016, the trio released his first EP Plinth and won the music competition VOLTA.

Brussels-based outfit Rince Doigt released their debut album Plinth earlier this month. A simple but nonetheless effective blend of pop-infused math-rock-come-post-rock, the three-piece boasts a clear-cut and tight sound, clean and ethereal, with unexpected bouts of harshness. Avec ce six-titres savamment nommé Plinth, Rince-Doigt en impose une sacrée couche dès son entrée dans le game. La technique est impeccable (exécution des figures 10/10), les chansons sont inspirées (originalité du mouvement 8/10) et les rythmes complexes et changeants (dynamisme des enchaînements 9/10) ; ça fait une belle moyenne au bulletin, ça.

J’ai souvent fait des professions de foi envers la scène punk/rock de Bruxelles qui, à mon avis, est l’une des plus riches et inventives au monde. Rince-Doigt est issu de cette scène et Plinth me donne encore raison.
