Joni Sheila is a half-Filipino, half-Belgian singer-songwriter and street performer who grew up in Gent, Belgium. She was named after Joni Mitchell.

She taught herself to play the guitar and to sing. By competing in several music contests and working with other artists, she has gained a lot of experience. She also has a communication management degree and applies her communication skills to her music on stage, online and in the streets.

In June 2013 Joni launched a successful crowd funding campaign to record her debut album "Change". It was released on November 7th, 2014.

A year later Joni was invited to Vienna (Austria) to give a TEDx talk about her experiences as a street performer. Watch her talk here: http://bit.ly/1QaKM7J

In November 2016 Joni went on tour around Australia. She found a new home in Melbourne where she became a reputable street performer. She also won the Time Out Melbourne "Battle of the Busker 2017".
