Live shows range from intense full band sets to intimate solo performances.
Down the Lees is the project of singer/songwriter Laura Lee Schultz, a Canadian indie rock artist based in Ghent, Belgium.
With two full-length albums and an EP under her belt, Down The Lees is currently working on her third album, featuring songs that resonate with her alt/rock influences.
The project has followed an eclectic musical path with engaging and dynamic soundscapes inspired by genres as diverse as post-rock, shoegaze, slowcore, and no-wave - often echoing the work of artists such as Slint, PJ Harvey, Pedro the Lion, Sonic Youth and Low.
Before starting Down The Lees, Laura had the chance to play in various bands including Queazy, The Skinjobs and New Years Resolution, among others. She started working as a solo act back in 2005, performing all the instruments and writing all of the material on her debut album and has shared stages with Les Savy Fav, Sleater-Kinney and Pansy Division, to name few.
Laura’s upcoming (3rd) album as Down the Lees features guest musicians with plans to tour throughout Europe.
